Welcome to the decisions from experience website! On this website, we collect the latest news, resources and literature concerning research on experience-based decisions. Decisions from experience are choices that are based on previous encounters with one’s options as opposed to decisions from description that are based on summary descriptions detailing all possible outcomes and their respective likelihoods of each option. Several papers have found a description-experience gap, that is, a difference between choices based on the two information formats. There is an ongoing debate concerning the reason for this gap. This website will document the development of the debate and hopefully further its advance. Currently, the website is administered by Renato Frey. If you have
